Today’s ‘Live Better With Willie Jolley’ Tip: Can We Change the World? The Answer Is Yes!

Many people are concerned about the state of the world and are discouraged because they do not know that one person can make a major difference. One person can change the world.

This thought, by an anonymous writer, shows that each of us can make a difference: “When I was young my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights and decided to change only my country. But it seemed immovable. As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing my family, those closest to me. But alas, they would have none of it. And then as I laid on my deathbed, I realized if I had only changed myself first, then by example I might have changed my family! From their inspiration and enthusiasm then they could change the community, who could then change other communities, which would then change the country. If the country could be changed, then the world could be changed. The key to changing the world was to make the decision to first change ourselves!”
