*Jay-Z has been announced as the headlining act for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which kicks off on April 16 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif.

Rock acts Muse and Gorillaz are set to headline on April 17 and 18, respectively. More than 130 acts will perform during the three-day festival, including Thom Yorke, David Guetta, MGMT, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend and Wale.

Three-day weekend passes are priced at $269, plus surcharges. Tickets go on sale Friday.

Meanwhile, Mariah Carey has added some new dates to her “Angels Advocate” tour, which kicked off Jan. 15 in New Jersey.

Aside from additional nights in both Chicago (2/13-14) and Universal City, CA (2/23-24), the singer has also scheduled a Feb. 17 appearance in Houston, TX.

The 17-city outing is in support of Carey’s latest studio set, “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.” Tickets for two of the new shows are on sale now, along with seats for Carey’s Feb. 27 Las Vegas show, while tickets for the new Universal City performance go on sale Jan. 23.
