*Former first lady Laura Bush has just been added to the advisory board for the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Washington’s NBC4 is reporting.

The board’s chief task right now is to help raise money for the yet-to-be-built venue, which is scheduled to open on the National Mall near the Washington Monument in 2015.

Congress has pledged to provide half of the museum’s $500 million cost, if private fundraising covers the rest. Oprah Winfrey and Quincy Jones are among the celebrities already helping to raise private funds.
