*The Recording Academy salutes the late Michael Jackson this weekend with a groundbreaking 3-D tribute during Sunday’s Grammy telecast, and the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award on Saturday.
CNN is reporting that Jackson’s eldest kids, 11-year-old Paris and 12-year-old Prince Michael, will take the stage at Saturday’s Special Merit Awards ceremony at L.A.’s Wilshire Ebell Theater to accept the career achievement trophy on their father’s behalf.
At press time, their appearance had not been confirmed by either the Recording Academy or the Jackson family.
Also, no word yet on whether the kids, or any other Jackson family member, will participate in Sunday’s 3-D musical tribute. Carrie Underwood, Usher and Jennifer Hudson have so far been confirmed for the segment.
