*Politico reports that despite suffering through a brutal week of mostly self-inflicted wounds, Michael Steele has no intention of leaving his chairmanship of the Republican National Committee.

Steele, who has said recently the GOP can’t win back the House and told his critics to “shut up,” — said on “Fox News Sunday” that he would “absolutely not” resign as RNC chairman.

“I’m very passionate about what I do. I’m very passionate about winning,” he said. “I bring that to the table — and, yeah, I get a little hot headed.”

But, Steele added, “I’m pushing the ball. I’m raising the money. I’m winning.
