*Mo’Nique has done it again. Once know strictly as a stand up comedienne and comedic actor, she’s flipped the script and is now known as a dramatic actress, as well.

In fact, her ability to portray an abusive mother in the big screen drama “Precious” was so outstanding, that it garnered her a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) award for best supporting actress on Saturday.

“It’s exciting and it means the message got out,” Mo told the assembled press back stage.

She said she’s grateful for how her portrayal of the film’s abusive mother Mary Jones has influenced others to seek help.

In case you’re wondering if she has destination for her award, called the “Actor,” the actress said:

“He is going on The Mo’Nique Show,” she said. “They’re all going on The Mo’Nique Show.”

And if you’re also wondering if she showed off her hairy legs again, the answer is no. She wore a full length gown this time. Speaking of which, here’s how she was described by Houston chronicler blogger Bobby Hankinson:

“Mo’Nique is head-to-toe fabulous with a look that’s so simple, it’s easy to overlook its charms. The hair is great, the makeup is perfect and that dress, while understated, looks amazing on her.”
