*The Mooney Twins, best known for their roles as Kenny and Benny Rae in the 1979 film “The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh,” are hosting an evening celebrating late community activist Darren “Bo” Taylor.

The affair – to be held in Hollywood on Jan. 16 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Celebrity Centre International, (5930 Franklin Ave.) – also supports the launch of The Taylor Family Foundation for Kids Inc. Special guest speakers include: the new LAPD Chief; Charlie Beck, LAPD Deputy Chief; and Patrick Gannon.

The keynote speaker will be violence intervention specialist Aquil Basheer. Blinky Rodriquez, Executive Director of Communities in Schools, will serve as a “special guest speaker.” Also, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa is among the invited guests.

In a press release, the Mooney Twins “are noted for their contributions to community activism in connection with their father, comedian Paul Mooney.”
