*T.I., who was released to a halfway house less than a month ago after serving seven months in prison on a gun charge, is already back in the studio recording material for his next album, Billboard reports.

According to producer Jim Jonsin, who worked on the smash T.I. album “Paper Trail,” the two have reunited for a follow-up that is scheduled to be released later this year.

“He’s back in the studio. I sent him some music via email,” Jonsin told Rap-Up. “He can work during the week and not on the weekend, I believe. He’s definitely working on an album for this year right now.”

The artist, born Clifford Harris Jr., was sentenced to a year and a day in March 2009 resulting from weapons charges related to purchasing machine guns and silencers. Officials charged him with providing a bodyguard with $12,000 to buy weapons.

T.I. will serve the remainder of a reduced sentence in a correctional center near Fulton County Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.
