*Looks like Jennifer Lopez is taking her “Louboutins” elsewhere.

The singer has issued a statement confirming reports that she parted ways with her record label Sony Music, and insisting that her new album “Love” which features her latest single “Louboutins,” will be released on a new label – possibly Island Def Jam.

“I am making this statement to put an end to any confusion in regards to my next album, titled Love,” she said.

“I have belonged to the Sony family since the beginning of my career as a singer and together we’ve had great success.

“I have fulfilled my contractual responsibilities with Sony/Epic up to this point, and we have both reached friendly terms about my departure from the label.

“I’m also happy to say that we’ve found a new home for my album Love and that it is slated for release in the summer of 2010.”

There’s still no word on the reason for Lopez’s departure, but Deadline.com has floated the idea that Sony may have dropped her after the promo push of “Louboutins” failed to generate any buzz for the album.

The new rumor is that JLo is in talks with Island label Def Jam about securing a new deal.
