*Kandi Burruss will join several fellow “Real Housewives” from the Bravo TV franchise for a week of guest appearances on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” beginning Monday.
The singer/songwriter is the lone rep from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast. Her episodes, filmed in November, will air Wed. Feb. 24 and Thurs. Feb. 25, according to producers.
Other “housewives” on the syndicated game show hail from the New York and New Jersey casts. All were paired with real-life, non-celebrity housewives. Burress’ teammate was Michelle Solgan of South Orange, N.J.
“I really enjoyed getting to meet the other ladies from Jersey and New York City,” said Burruss in a statement. “I’ve never met them before, so it was really cool and I’m a big fan of the New Jersey Housewives. See, they’re cool and laid back. The Atlanta housewives, we keep it crunk all the time, so you need to have all of us up here.”
While details of the week are being kept under wraps, Kandi was able to share one experience with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution regarding her conversation with Ramona from “The Real Housewives of New York.”
Kandi said she had just finished telling Ramona about how she won a Grammy for co-writing TLC’s hit “No Scrubs.” When cameras started rolling a few minutes later, that was one of the questions, but it took Ramona and her contestant two lifelines to get it right. “I was dying laughing,” said Burruss.
Her Atlanta co-stars Sheree Whitfield and Lisa Wu Hartwell read pre-taped questions. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak declined to participate.
