*After reports surfaced earlier this week that Kevin Eubanks would be leaving his gig as Jay Leno’s bandleader when the “Tonight Show” returns in March, the musician took to his Twitter page to clarify.

“I’ll still be around on the show, but less as of now. I’ll tweet when a definite plan is set,” he posted Thursday.

Eubanks joined the “Tonight Show” in 1992 and became bandleader two years later. There were multiple reports of the guitarist planning to exit the job to pursue other endeavors.

Eubanks served as Leno’s bandleader during the ill-fated “Jay Leno Show” in primetime.
