*The 2010 Pan African Film Festival Night of Tribute Awards Ceremony takes place in Los Angeles tonight (Feb. 12) beginning at 7 p.m. at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center (4718 Washington Blvd.).
Billed as America’s largest and most prestigious black film and arts festival, the ceremony will be hosted by actress CCH Pounder and include Lifetime Achievement Award honoree Glynn Turman, Pioneer Award recipient F. Gary Gray, Beah Richards Award recipient Tatyana Ali, Canada Lee Award recipient Nate Parker, Community Service Award recipient Mark Ridley-Thomas (Los Angeles County Supervisor) and Peace Anyiam-Fiberesima (PAFF/African Channel Visionary Award winner and Nigerian filmmaker and founder of the influential African Academy of Motion Pictures.
