“Never a failure, always a lesson” is tatted backwards across her right chest so that the words can be read properly when looking into a mirror.
The tatt was revealed during her stop on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Monday, where she performed her hit “Don’t Stop the Music” and her current top 10 single, “Hard.”
“It’s basically saying it’s okay to make mistakes, just don’t do it twice,” Rihanna explained of the new tattoo, one of “approximately 13” on her body.
This week marks a year since she was assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. In a refreshing change of pace, there was no mention of him whatsoever. The interview mostly consisted of Rihanna joking around with Ellen and touting her life as a single woman.
Ellen tried to bring up her rumored flame, baseball player Matt Kemp, but the talk show host’s prying was only met with some bashful, innocent laughter.
