*Los Angeles – Datari Turner, creator, actor, and producer has several new projects that promise entertainment, drama, and access to life in a world beyond our imagination.
This standout is well known for breaking into the business as a model for the prestigious Ford Modeling Agency. He can be seen in popular publications GQ, Rolling Stone, Maxim, Details, People Weekly, Today’s Black Woman, The Source and Vibe Magazine.
As a Ford model he’s modeled for such clothing lines as Abercrombie & Fitch, Armani, Kenneth Cole, Tommy Hilfiger, Sean John, RocaWear and continues to model and create entertainment projects for people of the world.
Following his passion and successfully transitioning into the entertainment industry as a writer/producer in film and television, Datari has produced several hit shows and a film.
His credits include BET’s “The Ultimate Hustler” an urban reality TV show inspired by NBC’s The Apprentice; “I Married a Baller,” which showcases the lives of wives of famous athletes and highlighted Eddie George, former Tennessee Titan running back and his wife Taj George from R&B sensation SWV; and his first film “Video Girl” (which hits theaters in fall of 2010) about the rise and fall of a video vixen which stars Meagan Good, Ruby Dee, Haylie Duff, and Paul Victor.
Datari created and is the executive producer of the new reality television series starring actress and former First Lady of Turks and Caicos LisaRaye.
Best known for her role on UPN’s “All of Us” and of “Diamond” in The Player’s Club, LisaRaye’s show “LisaRaye: The Real McCoy” will premiere on TV One in April of 2010. Datari is also producing an upcoming reality television show starring America’s Next Top Model and Celebrity Fit Club contestant Toccarra Jones. Another film in the works is “Dysfunctional Friends and a Funeral” about 10 friends who went to college together but have not spoken to each other in seven years until one friend unexpectedly dies from a freak skydiving accident. It’s no question Datari Turner is on the road to being noted along his role model producers Jerry Bruckheimer, Paula Wager, and David Geffen.
