*Lil Wayne reportedly filmed nine music videos over a 48-hour period in advance of his prison sentence on a weapons conviction, which begins today.

The rapper, 27, had his incarceration postponed last month so he could have dental surgery. According to Popeater, he used the extra time to film multiple videos to be released during his expected year-long bid in New York.

Wayne initially pleaded not guilty to gun possession in July 2007 after police found a .40-caliber handgun on his tour bus. But he changed his plea to guilty in October in exchange for a reduced 12-month sentence.

The artist, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., plans to release his eighth studio album, “Tha Carter IV,” soon after he’s released in early 2011.
