*Another Pittsburgh Steelers star is making headlines over an incident in a club involving a woman.
According to a lawsuit filed last week in Florida, Anshonoe Mills claims that on March 7, Holmes threw his drink – glass and all – at her face during a dispute in the VIP section of Orlando’s Rain Night Club.
Mills claims she was seated on a sofa when Holmes showed up claiming he had occupied the seat before her. Mills says Holmes started acting a fool when she refused to move — so he threw his glass full of liquor at her face … causing a “laceration” very close to her eye.
According to the documents, the woman says she alerted cops from the Orlando PD — but they, along with Santonio, “pressured” her not to press charges. She claims Santonio even offered her money because “he was an NFL star and could not get into trouble.”
Meanwhile, quarterback Ben Rothlisberger has been asked by the Steelers to stay away from team workouts due to the sexual assault allegations he’s currently facing.
On March 5, a 20-year-old woman claimed the player sexually assaulted her inside the bathroom of a Milledgeville, Ga. nightclub. Roethlisberger denies the allegation, and has stated any sexual contact with his accuser was consensual.
Rothlisberger is also involved in a civil suit alleging he raped a woman in 2008. Andrea McNulty filed the lawsuit in 2009 saying Roethlisberger assaulted her inside a Harrah’s Lake Tahoe hotel room. Roethlisberger is countersuing McNulty and claims her allegations are false.
No arrests or charges have taken place regarding the recent accusations and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation continues to look into the matter.
