Queen Latifah turns 40 today

Just like the headline says, this page/board is where you can discuss the stuff that we didn’t cover in today’s issue. (It’s sort of like feedback with a twist) Remember, NO name calling, racial taunting, graphic sex talk and vulgarity in general, PLEASE.

Today’s ‘Live Better With Willie Jolley’ Tip: Building Wealth Despite Challenges

Today’s tip for success is focused on helping you overcome this challenging economy. It is taken from my new book, Turn Setbacks Into Greenbacks. Get a copy today…you’ll be glad you did! My friend Duke Greene is a great example of how to build wealth and not get stuck on minor issues, and instead stay focused on the major ones. Duke Greene was recently a guest on my XM Radio show and shared how he built a very successful company. He started an IT company that went on to become one of the top IT companies in the country. He hired the best and the brightest. However, during an economic downturn in the 1970’s, things got tight. He made up his mind that he did not want to lose any of the great people he hired. He decided to take his CEO salary and contribute it to pay the employees.

After a few months, his personal savings ran out. He decided to work all day as the CEO, and at night he drove a truck (like he had done in college) to make ends meet. He said “Leaders do not let the circumstances stop them from doing what is necessary to grow their businesses. As long as it is moral and legal, it is good business and honorable work!”
