*It’s a good day for comedians-turned-talk show hosts at BET. The netowrk announced at its annual Upfront presentation Wednesday that  “The Mo’Nique Show”  will return for a second season, and spinoff network Centric will begin simulcasting “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” this fall. 

BET also announced a new partnership with Flavor Unit Entertainment to produce original programs including scripted series “Let’s Stay Together,” which highlights the challenges of modern relationships of five young, aspirational African Americans, and “The Cookout 2,”  a sequel to the popular feature film, “The Cookout,” which finds a suspended NBA star playing the game of his life to rescue his family.

Other fresh additions to BET programming include new episodes of the former CW sitcom “The Game,” “Toya” (without her partner Tiny), “The Laurieann Gibson Project,” starring the infamous “Making the Band” choreographer, and “The Kennedys,” focusing on famous Watts skateboarder Terry Kennedy. 

As for new specials, BET will present “106th & Park 10th Anniversary Special,” “Black Girls Rock: A Celebration of Black Women,” “BET 30: 30 Moments, 30 Years,” and “Top 10 Rappers of the 21st Century” and “A Very BET Christmas.”
