*The Tea Party Movement is essentially a loose-knit coalition of conservative, grass-roots whites vehemently opposed to President Obama and what members view as his too-liberal or “socialist” agenda.

Is the movement prepared to resort to violence in its efforts to undermine Obama and those who support him?

The above question was raised last week when Tea Party members opposed to the passage of the president’s health care reform legislation allegedly made threats of physical harm to at least 10 members of Congress because they helped pass the health care reforms.

The threats followed insults earlier hurled at members of Congress by Tea Party members.
