“The pair has recorded the song and it’s being discussed as either the main theme or to feature on the soundtrack,” the paper quoted a source as saying.
Both singers are veterans of Simon Cowell-judged singing competitions – Lewis a winner of Britain’s “The X Factor,” Hudson a finalist on “American Idol.”
“They each have incredible voices and will appeal to both the UK and the US. It’s perfect for the next ‘SATC’ film,” the source added.
Hudson had a supporting role in the original 2008 movie and contributed the song “All Dressed in Love” to the soundtrack. Lewis’s “I See You” was recently used as the main theme for James Cameron’s record-breaking sci-fi film Avatar.
“SATC” is due in US theaters on May 28.
