*The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) applauds President Barack Obama’s appointment of Alejandra Y. Castillo to direct the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA).
The MBDA serves minority entrepreneurs across America who are building and growing businesses.
“Ms. Castillo has helped advance the Hispanic community in many ways throughout her career. Due to her experience and commitment to public service, she is exceptionally qualified to lead MBDA and assist minority-owned firms grow and become more competitive,” said Roman D. Hernandez, HNBA National President.
Prior to her appointment with MBDA, Castillo served as Special Advisor to the Under Secretary for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, overseeing business outreach and development of policy initiatives geared at trade promotion and enforcement of U.S. trade laws.
