*Oprah Winfrey and music star Prince have made Time magazine’s list of the most influential artists of 2010, joining such celebrities as “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell, actress Sandra Bullock and singer Lady Gaga.
President Barack Obama, tennis star Serena Williams and and comedian Conan O’Brien also made the annual list compiled by the magazine’s senior editors.
Winfrey, who was recognized for her achievements on Broadway, movies and publishing, has been on every list since it was started seven years ago — more than any other Time 100 designee.
“There is no match for you in media history,” former talk show host Phil Donahue wrote about Winfrey in the magazine. “You are not only hot; you are cool: the Dream Girl for millions of ambitious young women whom you’ve inspired all over the world.”
The list, which was divided into four categories – leaders, thinkers, artists and heroes – also includes actor Neil Patrick Harris for his role in changing the public’s perception of gay men.
