Just like the headline says, this page/board is where you can discuss the stuff that we didn’t cover in today’s issue. (It’s sort of like feedback with a twist) Remember, NO name calling, racial taunting, graphic sex talk and vulgarity in general, PLEASE.

Today’s ‘Live Better With Willie Jolley’ Tip: Persistence vs. Perseverance
Today’s ‘Live Better’ tip for Success is focused on helping you overcome this challenging economy. It is taken from my new book, Turn Your Setbacks Into Greenbacks. Get a copy today…you’ll be glad you did!
We have been talking about the fact that in order to turn your setbacks into comebacks, and eventually into greenbacks, it is essential to be persistent and have perseverance. Most people think that they are the same thing, but they are quite different. Persistence is an action where you continue to work on your goal in an obstinate, repetitive manner. Perseverance is an attitude where you decide that you will not give up. A belief that somehow-some way, you will eventually succeed. Persistence is when you decide to keep hitting, keep fighting and keep working on your goal until you achieve it. Thomas Edison was persistent; he failed more than a thousand times in his quest to invent a light bulb, yet he kept trying new ways to achieve the goal, and eventually he achieved his goal. I like to say that ‘‘persistence breaks down resistance!’’
Visit my website at www.williejolley.com for more information on turning your setbacks into greenbacks, and make this a great day!

Good Morning. Happy Birthday Bill Bellamy.

Good morning Ninja Nation. I hope everyone has a beautiful day.
I volunteered with a group of teens and then a group of elementary age children and the little ones were little angels but the teens were little sh*ts. I don’t understand how/where kids fall off with manners and communication skills.
Lovely, I think it is peer pressure and trying to belong. If you get these teens on their own on a one on one basis, they are usually very different from the crowd. I experience this all the time from years of tutoring. The same problem child in school is often times a totally different child alone with me. Sometimes they would try to smell themselves with me, but I usually shut that down verbally. With nobody around to gas them up, they often back down.
little-known San Francisco entrepreneur has launched a controversial people-rating Web site that overnight has turned him into a very public and not very popular figure.
Peter Kazanjy’s site, Unvarnished, is like Yelp for people’s workplace reputations, where anyone can post anonymous reviews about anyone else.
Kazanjy, 30, says reviewing people is an inevitable step in the evolution of social media technologies that are stripping away the remaining layers of online privacy and exposing more details about people’s lives to the world. His critics say the site is a clever social extortion racket.
“This is big and scary,” Kazanjy conceded.
He should know. He has had to develop a thick hide as tech pundits reviewed his review site.
“A clean, well-lighted place for defamation,” one blogger said.
“Unvarnished could cost you your next job,” warned another.
Even gossip site Gawker ripped Unvarnished as “the completely evil social network” that holds people’s careers hostage.
Kazanjy and his two cohorts — Jason Heidema, a former group manager at eBay, and Danis Dayanov, a formerLinkedIn employee — don’t see it that way. Their vision: a site that encourages candid and nuanced information about prospective hires, bosses and business partners.
So far Unvarnished, which is in private testing at GetUnvarnished.com, has hundreds of users and thousands of reviews. The company preloaded 400,000 professional profiles.
Critics say Unvarnished gives a bully pulpit to unscrupulous users who will unfairly sully the reputations of others, harming their ability to land jobs and promotions. Lawyers say the site is a litigation nightmare.
Morning Fam. If you havent already, check out my video on FB….the shhh hilarious….
OJ – I agree. I just didn’t have a chance to speak with them ‘away from the crowd’. While my friend was speaking about what our organization does, I caught one boy making a face with his lil friend like he was bored. I caught his eye and gave him that look my grandmother used to give me from the choir stand. He was all slouched down in his seat and when he was standing by me, he was still slouched down and I told him to stand up straight like a young man. He did, but 2 minutes later he was slouching again.
Good Morning BBP’s!! Happy Hump Day!
Here we go with the bullshit here in VA. What kind of bullshit is this? WTF?……RICHMOND — Gov. Robert F. McDonnell, reviving a controversy that had been dormant for eight years, has declared that April will be Confederate History Month in Virginia, a move that angered civil rights leaders Tuesday but that political observers said would strengthen his position with his conservative base. The two previous Democratic governors had refused to issue the mostly symbolic proclamation honoring the soldiers who fought for the South in the Civil War. McDonnell (R) revived a practice started by Republican governor George Allen in 1997. McDonnell left out anti-slavery language that Allen’s successor, James S. Gilmore III (R), had included in his proclamation. McDonnell said Tuesday that the move was designed to promote tourism in the state, which next year will mark the 150th anniversary of the start of the war. McDonnell said he did not include a reference to slavery because “there were any number of aspects to that conflict between the states. Obviously, it involved slavery. It involved other issues. But I focused on the ones I thought were most significant for Virginia.” The proclamation was condemned by the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus and the NAACP. Former governor L. Douglas Wilder called it “mind-boggling to say the least” that McDonnell did not reference slavery or Virginia’s struggle with civil rights in his proclamation. Though a Democrat, Wilder has been supportive of McDonnell and boosted his election efforts when he declined to endorse the Republican’s opponent, R. Creigh Deeds. “Confederate history is full of many things that unfortunately are not put forth in a proclamation of this kind nor are they things that anyone wants to celebrate,” he said. “It’s one thing to sound a cause of rallying a base. But it’s quite another to distort history.” The seven-paragraph declaration calls for Virginians to “understand the sacrifices of the Confederate leaders, soldiers and citizens during the period of the Civil War.” McDonnell had quietly made the proclamation Friday by placing it on his Web site, but it did not attract attention in the state capital until Tuesday. April also honors child abuse prevention, organ donations, financial literacy and crime victims.
:
Also, I remember when MLK’s birthday was first declared a national holiday, for several years it was celebrated in VA as Lee/Jackson/King Day, lumping him in with 2 confederate Civil War generals.
question: how can you get rid of the runs?
(and no, it’s not me… somebody asked me and my only advice is to eat government cheese)
C’mon Lovely…you know good and dayum well it’s you…If not, how come you had a remedy that quick?…..
I thought that white chalky stuff used to work for the runs. Without running to Google, it begins with a K right?
Lovely…tequila cured mine…
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. (AP) — A 16-year-old Arkansas boy is suing his mother, accusing her of slandering him on his Facebook page.
Denise New of Arkadelphia is charged with harassment and her son — whose name has not been released — is asking that his mother be prohibited from contacting him.
Authorities say the boy lives with his grandmother, who has custodial rights.
Denise New says she believes she has the legal right to monitor her son’s activities online and that plans to fight the charges.
Prosecutor Todd Turner declined to comment, citing the boy’s age.
Good Morning Everyone!
Lovely — Pepto Bismol.
Letmein — hmmm, that’s interesting. They can’t drink tequila until they get home from work though.
Leonard — I wonder what the mother said about him on his fb page… all he had to do was erase it and move on.
Pepto-Bismol provides fast relief for upset stomach and other symptoms including, nausea, heartburn, diarrhea, and indigestion.
Thank you, Jacque
I don’t really think you should ‘treat’ diarrehia, b/c that is your body’s way of saying something is in here that shouldn’t be. But since I know we can’t all go home, the person should try Imodium. But they need to drink lots of fluids like water and Gatorade.
Everytime I have ever tried Pepto, I puke like crazy. Sorry for the visual, but that is some nasty stuff, and does absolutely nothing for me.
Oh, and good morning! LOL
All advice has been passed on.
…Is ‘posed to be some kinda sick pun?
Pen I can’t do the liquid Pepto either! I have taken the pills though.
My stomach is GROWLING like a vicious dog!!!!!!

Two news stories: (1) VA governor reinstates Confederate History Month.
(2) Tiki Barber splits with the mother of his two boys and wife of 11 years, who’s also eight months pregnant, for a 23-year-old “model-thin” [article's words, not mine, as if I care] blonde coworker.
Which is more tragic?
I think (1) is just typical of this current climate of PC and racial backlash. The tiger showing its stripes. The chameleons showing their true colors.
(2) is something I’d hope wasn’t typical, but it’s what’s sensationalized in the media. Sad.
Good afternoon everyone. Prayers up for asize12. Stay strong.
HHCassius,
Well Tiki’s wife was Asian in the first place, so honestly, I’m not sure that dating a 23 year old white woman is that much of a shocker approximating the Tiger or Jesse James situation. I always saw the surprise and fascination with Tiger’s exploits as really about the ‘number’ of women he had affairs with. It made a lot of nosey folk wonder where he had that kind of time… and then the “quality” of women he messed around with made him look suspect too.
Jesse James, I see the nosey public’s fascination with his affair because 1) his wife is famous (and attractive … or at least normal looking) and 2) because his mistress/play thing had like a million tatoos, including some white power association (at least via the tats). It was the stark contrast between his “girl next door” monied wife and his shriek-inducing girl toy with a million tats.
I’m not sure Tiki’s new play thing brings him in that category… though his timing isn’t great.
I agree with you Ex. I don’t know much about Tiki, but its just a shame that his marriage is broken now, and he has another baby on the way. That is tragic period, regardless of who/what he was married to.
Tiger, IMO needs to play golf. His marriage again, is likely another tragedy, because if I was the wife, I wouldn’t stay with him. There is the public humiliation, but the whole betrayal thing to the extent he betrayed Elin is just too much to bare.
Jessie James’ sitatuion is scary to me not so much for the stark contrasts in the women, but the whole Nazi association.
But one thing I’ll say is that with all these women spilling the beans on these men, I hope men will think twice before they lay their marriages, reputations and credibility on the line for some puss.
Tiki could have waited another month. Damn!
What’s up ya’ll??? I’ve been out of the game for a minute, but I’m back!!!!! Hoping everyone is doing well.
ASIZE- So sorry to hear about your father. Praying for you & your family.
Awe 12, I’m sorry. Def praying for you!

A true WTF story. Damn indeed.
Asize12, prayers up for your daddy.
Jazz, the “K” word you were looking for way up yonder is Kaopectate.
Unsolicited advice for ladies
- If you’re gonna be speaking in public and raising your arms, shave the armpits or don’t wear a skimpy top that reveals unshaven armpits. I don’t like tossing an otherwise powerful photo because it shows my subject in an unflattering way.
- If you’re gonna be an important guest at a public function, choose and apply makeup appropriately. Poorly applied gray makeup on a dark face will be ruthlessly revealed by digital cameras.
he man who dashed into a Loop subway after robbing a bank — only to have a dye pack explode — was wearing a home monitoring device on his left ankle and was on parole for robbing a Loop Starbucks, police say.
Armon Watson, 35, of Waukegan, was on parole for aggravated robbery after he made off with a Tuscan chicken sandwich, a tall iced tea and $115 from Starbucks at 25 E. Washington St. in 2006.
A Starbucks’ employee flagged officers down at the time, identifying the man as the person who just robbed them. He was also caught on the coffee shop’s surveillance video, according to police.
On Tuesday, police say Watson robbed the North Community Bank at 800 N. State St. about 5 p.m., then fled through the busy Red Line station at Chicago Avenue and State Street, police said.
But a dye pack designed to explode on stolen money went off in the station and led police to Watson within minutes, authorities said. He was charged today with bank robbery and is being held without bail.
Shanice Hunter said she and the robber got off at the Chicago Avenue stop. After she hung out by the nearby McDonald’s restaurant for a few minutes, she said she saw him again — this time dropping money as he hurried down the stairs.
“I saw him running down the stairs,” said Hunter, 34. “I saw him dropping money on the stairs. The dye had already exploded. When I saw all that dye, I put two and two together and said: ‘My God, he just robbed the bank.’ ”
A crowd of about 50 people began milling about outside the Red Line entrances in the 90 minutes that police had them blocked off following the incident, a witness said.
Near North District Officer Kelly Davis, one of the three arresting officers, was making a shoplifting arrest at a clothing store near Chicago and Michigan avenues when he heard about the robbery over his police radio.
“Man, I’m kind of close,” he said he remembered thinking. “All of a sudden my instincts took over.”
Davis ran north on Michigan Avenue to Chicago Avenue and made his way to the station, jumped through a turnstile and continued down a flight of stairs to the northbound subway platform.
“I’m smelling a very strong odor,” he said. “I’m canvassing the area and (the riders) are covering their nose and mouth and stuff.”
Suddenly, Davis saw a head pop out from behind one of the platform’s pillars. The man, who was not armed, matched the description he had heard over the radio.
“That’s got to be him,” he said.
Near North District Officers Kevin Lusk and Brian O’Neill, who are partners, also were in the station looking for the suspect as Davis searched for him.
Lusk said he saw a man bobbing back and forth behind a pillar, when he noticed dye on the man’s leg.
Davis, Lusk and O’Neill all drew their service weapons, and Davis reached the man first, they said. Davis and the other officers then took him into custody.
John Vergo, 16, who regularly hangs out at the intersection, said he arrived shortly after the robbery.
“I thought, ‘Dude’s crazy to rob the bank in the middle of the afternoon,’ ” Vergo said. “(This neighborhood) is really live. There’s always people around, a lot going on.”
The North Community Bank also was robbed in February, and Near North District officers also arrested a man in that holdup.

Slenda, your tips are spot on!!
SB, spill it man. Who did you do last night? (the chick who was in your car laughing at the dancer?)
Your family and particularly your Dad are in my prayers Asize.
One up-side to the the Tiki Barber situation: I feel another C’Mon Son video coming on!
Armon Watson, 35, of Waukegan, was on parole for aggravated robbery after he made off with a Tuscan chicken sandwich, a tall iced tea and $115 from Starbucks at 25 E. Washington St. in 2006… Seriously? LMAO! What a dummy!
Tiki has always gotten the side eye from me, him and his egg head brother. My room mate in college went to high school with them in the Charlottesville area and they are stone cold Yte boys for real. They are crazy ova dat Becky….
Happy Founders day for my alma mater…Johnson C. Smith University.
Pene,
Agreed.
SoBro, how you wanna come in here advertising “scenarios” and fail to spill them beans. You are wrong fo’ dat playa.
Slenda,
Agreed re: hairy pits. I don’t really care whether one shaves or not, but if shaving is not done, best not wear sleeveless tanks or tops. That ain’t a good look.
LOL
@ LilMocc re: “crazy ova dat becky.”
Good day all, the men who philander, & the many women who love them. From my experience women are always attracted to attached men. Tiki situation does not surprise me, he dissed the Ny Giants, Tiger with that name, must be an animal in bed( all of his women are applauding him)Jesse is doing porn stars, when Sandra must have wanted him doing the dishes. Good women will always pay the price for a bad man.
Not so quick Ex, there was a comma after the word all.
***Correction***
The kaopectate comment was for OSB, not jazz.
Ex – have you never philandered?
Everytime I philandered, that never stop a woman from dropping her draws, when the Misses was away. I’ve told women there is nothing good about me, but a woman knows exactly what she is doing, why wouldn’t she.
A pair of women busted for trying to sneak a dead man onto a plane say he was alive – until they got to the airport, at least.
Gitta Jarant and Anke Anusic, the wife and step-daughter of the deceased 91-year-old, Willi, claim he was living when they got up that morning, the Daily Mail reports.
“He was alive in the taxi and when we arrived at the airport,” Anusic told the British newspaper. “He had eaten breakfast that morning.”
Willi suffered from Alzheimer’s, she explained, and his health was failing. The German national wanted to go back to his hometown in order to die.
“We had booked a wheelchair and a taxi and he must have died as he was wheeled into the airport,” Anusic said.
According to the Daily Mail, a Liverpool John Lennon Airport employee who aided the women upon their arrival claims Willi was already dead when he helped him out of the taxi.
“I knew straight away that the man was dead, but they reassured me that he ‘always sleeps like that,’” Andrew Millea said, noting that when he’d felt the man’s head it was “ice cold.”
Millea said he alerted airport security, who then investigated the matter.
Jarant, 66, and Anusic, 41, were arrested for failing to notify authorities of Willi’s death.
“We don’t even understand how people can charge us for things we didn’t do,” Anusic told the BBC. “If he was dead, we would have called an ambulance.”
“I’m very upset,” said Jarant, a German national living in England, the Daily Mail reported. “I’m going to contact the German embassy to complain.”
“Willi was a fantastic man and I loved him very much,” she added. “This is all crazy. I would never do such a thing… He would have been stiff if he had been dead for more than 24 hours.”

WOODBINE, Ga. — Authorities say an inmate who
broke out of jail, then returned after stealing 14
packs of cigarettes, has been sentenced to 20 years.
Prosecutors told The Florida Times-Union inmate
Harry Jackson, 26, escaped his cell at the Camden
County Jail last year and went to the exercise yard to
retrieve cigarettes he had expected would be tossed
over a fence.
They say that when the contraband wasn’t there,
Jackson scaled the fence, broke a window at a
convenience store and grabbed cigarette packs only
to be arrested upon his return.
Jackson pleaded guilty to burglary and escape
charges Monday. Prosecutors say he had been jailed
on charges including driving with a suspended
license. His lawyer, William Ashe, didn’t immediately
return a call seeking comment.

Thanks for the prayers gang. I didn’t really feel like chatting today. Just got daddy on the brain. I’ll holla at y’all tomorrow.
I wish Dr Oz was my personal physician. I have been home sick all day.
Why is it that everytime I am home to watch Oprah, it is some booty topic?
