The singer, along with long-time collaborators Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, ustreamed the first day of recording her 13th studio album, which follows up last year’s “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” and replaces her cancelled remix album,  “Angels Advocate.”

“Today is the first day, we’re giving you the first day of the process,” said Dupri. “We’re doing the best we can to make another song of the decade. It’s up to you guys, you gotta make it be that.”

Carey, who also worked with Dupri on her international hit “We Belong Together,” said: “We knew that we belonged together in the studio, and we’ve been trying to do this for a long time, and for certain reasons…”

Dupri added: “We’re here to make it happen – stick and stay. This is the first day of the new sh*t.”
