*CBS News/ AP reports: Praise the Lord…and pass the stolen stereo equipment?
Two gospel singers and musicians have made a practice of praying and performing at a number of central Georgia churches, and then taking off with over $100,000 worth of speakers, microphones and other musical equipment, according to police.
Washington County Sheriff Thomas H. Smith says authorities had been investigating nine break-ins at churches over the past several months.
Tuesday, police arrested 28-year-old Deshawn Thomas, of Augusta, and 28-year-old Rico Blackshear, from Dublin.
Both face multiple charges, including nine counts of theft and nine counts of burglary.
Sheriff Smith says a tipster told authorities the pair might be linked to the break-ins, and authorities executing a search warrant found musical equipment in the men’s homes and cars.
They could be in big trouble, as God is their witness.
