*Quentin Tarantino reportedly has nothing to do with an upcoming prequel to his 1997 film “Jackie Brown,” which starred Pam Grier in the title role.
According to film site JoBlo, screenwriter Dan Schechter and producer Michael Siegel are developing the movie based on the Elmore Leonard novel “The Switch,” which was a prequel to his novel “Rum Punch.” Tarantino adapted “Rum Punch” as “Jackie Brown” for the big screen.
“The Switch” features younger versions of the characters played by Samuel L. Jackson and Robert De Niro in “Jackie Brown.”
Leonard is also producing the film, according to the Web site. Production details for the picture have yet to be released.
