*Dwyane Wade’s drama-filled eight-year marriage to high school sweetheart Siohvaughn Wade has finally and officially ended.
However, custody proceedings involving their two young boys have yet to be settled.
Wade is seeking full custody of the boys and was awarded temporary custody earlier this month after a judge “determined visitation time with his kids had been frustrated on an ongoing basis as a result of continual interference by his estranged wife.”
Wade tells TMZ of today’s development, “I’m very relieved that the judge granted my divorce today … this has been a long process and I hope we can all move forward.”
He adds, “The most important thing to me right now is the next phase when the judge will decide on custody of our kids. That is the big event in my life that I am focused on.”
This may turn out to be the divorce screw up of the century. All she had to do, was quit acting the fool, go with the flow, then get custody along with the monthly thousands which the judge would inevitably tax the black man for child support. Now she facing losing all of that.
BTW, wouldn’t she have to pay child support if he has custody?
What’s up Reds! LOL! I agree with your post except for the first sentence. I don’t think she would have to pay child support if Dwyane gets custody. He makes a considerable amount more than her and the courts might look at that for her not to pay. I may be wrong, but I’m just saying.
I guess she will be paying child support indirectly, since she will be getting less from him in that case.
It’s like they just deduct it before giving her spousal support.
But I hope she gets her act together so she won’t have to lose them.
Wade already dumped her for what he thinks is his Hollywood “queen”, so why take the kids.

Reds, not necessarily. It depends on whether she has a job or means of making money. My guess is that their marital settlement will more than provide for her not having to work, making her income whatever she might be making on her investments, if anything. He’s still a baller making big money so in the above scenario his income will more than likely be the sole income considered for child support purposes if he is awarded custody.
A lot of the answer depends on information that is not publicly known… e.g. what the settlement was, what are her current and/or future means of earning money, if any, etc.
I thought about that scenario. So if she is getting spousal support, would that be considered as income from which child support payment could be made? And considering that the spousal support would be a lot, the corresponding child support would also be. So Wade would end up getting back a good chunk of what he pays her. Or they may deduct that before.
I’m pretty sure it’s not going to work out that cool for him, though.
Doesn’t she have some emotional instability hence the reason Wade was given temporary custody??
I feel sorry for their kids. I hope he’s true to his word in making them his top priority. Sio’ is a nut-job!
She’s an idiot. First of all, she has let her bitterness get in the way of parenting. Second of all, she now has the exact opposite of what she didn’t want. His new thing will be raising her children. That is exactly the worst thing that can happen to a woman who gets dumped for another. Seeing your babies all cuddled up to the woman you think stole your man – absolute hell. But she did it to herself.
The whole situation was really sad and it was unfortunate for the kids. Now he can marry his skeezer girlfriend whom was screwing the whole time he was married anyway. Didn’t Gabby leave her husband for Dwayne? I’m sure the ex-wife got a nice piece of change to go away quietly. She went through like 8 divorce attorneys.
