*It looks like there’s going to be a big turn out for the “Home-Going” celebration for Ali “Ollie” Woodson, a former lead singer for the Temptations, who died Sunday from a form of cancer known as Leukemia.

Lot’s of people have been inquiring as to when and where his “celebration” will be. Now we know.

Services for Woodson will be held this Saturday, June 5th, at The City of Refuge church which is led by Bishop Noel Jones. The address is …

14527 So. San Pedro Street
Gardena, California 90248

Prior to the services a viewing will be held from 9:30 – 11am. Following the services interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, California.

For more info, see the church’s website: www.noeljonesministries.org/.

We’ve also learned that there is a possibility of a public viewing at the Angelus Funeral Home on Crenshaw Blvd. in Los Angeles as well. We spoke with a representative who told us that if Woodson’s family agrees, the viewing would most likely be held sometime Friday afternoon.

Woodson, of course, was best known for singing lead on the Temptation’s smash hit “Treat Her Like A Ldy,” but one of our other favorites that he crooned on so marvelously was the soulfully smoothed out tune “Special.” Watch, listen and enjoy:
