*Los Angeles prosecutors have declined to file assault charges against Marion “Suge” Knight in connection with his May 20 arrest for allegedly pointing a gun at a man, but the DA’s office has asked police to further investigate the case, reports the AP.

Los Angeles police were seeking deadly weapon charges against the former Death Row CEO. But prosecutors on Thursday rejected filing the charges, according to Los Angeles County District Attorney’s spokeswoman Jane Robison.

Knight was released from jail hours after his May 20 arrest after posting $65,000 bail. His attorney, Marc Brumer, denies a confrontation ever happened or that Knight was even carrying a gun.
