*The No. 82 player in the world has just upset the five time Wimbledon champion.

Tsvetana Pironkova has become the first Bulgarian woman to reach the semi-finals at Wimbledon after beating Venus Williams in straight sets: 6-2, 6-3.

“Seems like a dream, actually,” said Pironkova, whose odds of winning were set at 150-1 before the match.

The is being reported as Venus’ worst loss ever at the All England Club. She had 29 unforced errors to Pironkova’s six, and won only 1 out of 3 break points.

Her sister Serena Williams faces Li Na today.
