*While Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant was taking a breather from his 30-point, 6-assist effort against the Boston Celtics last night, Chris Rock, seated right next to the Lakers bench, was caught trying desperately – and ultimately unsuccessfully – to get Kobe’s attention.
During the 4th quarter of the NBA Finals, when the Lakers had a comfortable lead, Bryant sat on the bench just a few feet away from the famous comedian, who happens to be a die-hard Knicks fan.
ABC’s cameras caught Rock talking, laughing and gesturing at Bryant. But Kobe remained silent and stone-faced as if Rock didn’t exist. There wasn’t the slightest hint of a smile or any other acknowledgement that Chris Rock was even speaking to him.
To make matters worse, Lakers coach Phil Jackson became irritated with the situation when the ABC/ESPN courtside reporter came over to interview Rock. According to Worldstarhiphop.com , Jackson shouted to Chris, “You’re interrupting the game!”
“Phil Jackson is not happy,” the reporter responded.
