*The National Enquirer cites sources who say Whitney Houston spends over $300,000 a year on drugs – and friends believe she’s back in a downward spiral that will soon take her life.
Her entourage recruited a drug dealer who sold her $6,000 worth of cocaine during a tour stop in Europe in June – this, according to “an eyewitness to the deal,” the tabloid reports.
The same source adds that Whitney, 46, was high as a kite during her interview with Oprah Winfrey, despite telling the talk show host that she was drug-free.
The Enquirer says their own “in-depth investigation” has discovered that Whitney has spent an average of $6,300 a week on drugs – or a staggering $327,600 a year.
“Whitney is a dead woman walking! With the amount of drugs she’s buying, she won’t be able to live long. She’ll be dead in months,” her friend Marlon David, a party promoter, told The Enquirer.
“A friend of mine… is a drug dealer who deals in cocaine. One of Whitney’s people called him and said, ‘Whitney wants to party,’” David told The Enquirer exclusively.
The Grammy-winning singer’s sobriety came into question almost as soon as she kicked off her “Nothing But Love” comeback tour in February in South Korea. Throughout the trek, Whitney was seen in multiple YouTube clips struggling hard to hit notes.

How much did this ‘party promoter’ get paid to talk to the Inquirer?
Why would anybody claim friendship with a drug dealer? And even further, why would any grown-azzed person even be friends with a drug dealer? Ridiculous.
Word! LOL It’s not just the Nat’l Enquirer that is nonsense but most of those types of rags get it wrong! And…when they’re PROVEN wrong about one of their stories, they don’t even bother to apologize. Mediatakeout is horrible! They can’t even do a spell check on their own writings/postings—so many typos!! LOL’s That stopped me from visiting that site!
OH MY! I hate hearing this about Whitney. I knew she was back using when she really struggled to hit even the simplest notes in her songs. Her weight gain and other odd behavior. I don’t mean to be cruel but Whitney looks haggard and unkempt. I was over to my dad’s house and we watched Waiting to Exhale and we commented on how beautiful Whit looked in the movie compared to her appearance today. I am a true Whitney Houston fan she had one of the most spectacular voices around in my opinion. I pray that she comes to her senses or someone in her entourage gets help fast before we lose another music icon.
I can’t believe EUR would be first black blog to report this trash about Whitney Houston. EUR since you changed formats you are trying hard to keep up with Mediatakeout and Bossip.com for hits. National Enquirer is more wrong than right with their stories and people on here quoting them like they are the gospel truth. Whitney Houston was swollen on tour was from taking steroids for a respiratory infection. Coke does not make a person swollen like that. And this Marlon David is the same fool that was suppose to be eyewitness to that InTouch story a couple months agao that her lawyers had to put out a statement to dismiss. Please explain Babycakes, since you know when a person is using drugs, how is hitting notes equates a person being on drugs. No one knows if Whitney is on drugs or not but Whitney. I really can’t believe all the stuff Mel Gibson is going though that Whitney Houston is the lead story for the National Enquirer, while Mel Gibson has a small box in the corner. Stay strong Whitney!!!!!!

So uhm..if no one knows if Whitney is doing drugs but Whitney, y exactly are you defending her? Considering your lack of knowledge on the matter that is. She could be or could be not.
Babyc is speculating.
So r u
Reading is fundamental because I am not defending her. And I am not speculating either, Babycakes is speculating!!! And if you feel I am defending her then oh well because it is clear you already pass judgment.
Ditto @ babycakes. Who is this “news” to?
This generation’s Billie Holiday. When I hear one of her songs on the radio I hold my breath and halfway expect to hear “and that was the late Whitney Houston…”
…and I promise you (no lie)…that’s how I used to feel about Michael Jackson, and eventually that’s what happened.
ditto, babycakes, HH, I never thought she’d stopped using.
Keep her in your prayers! God can do anything but fail…WOW…
Everybody saying it’s just the National Enquirer ask John Edwards if they get shyt wrong.
John Edwards out of the many they get wrong. Many celebrities dont even bother to sue.
“The tabloids are not immune to lawsuits, but they aren’t sued nearly as often as you might think. What’s their secret?
In the no-holds-barred days of the 1950s and 60s, some tabloids realized that they could write pretty much anything about anyone with little fear of legal retribution. In his book “I Watched a Wild Hog Eat My Baby,” former National Enquirer editor Bill Sloan wrote that the publishers realized “there are two overwhelming reasons why no celebrity of any stature would stoop to suing a gutter-level publication like the Informer even in clear-cut cases of libel. For one thing, the publicity surrounding this type of suit could prove a thousand times more damaging than the original fabrication. For another, the publisher probably didn’t have any money to pay damages anyway.”
In the 1980s and 90s, supermarket tabloid circulation reached the tens of millions, and the companies that owned them had billions of dollars in assets. Those two factors obviously no longer applied, and actress Carol Burnett struck the first blow when she sued the National Enquirer in 1981 for printing a story accusing her of public drunkenness. She was initially awarded $1.6 million, but the amount was later reduced on appeal and settled out of court. Singer Aretha Franklin filed a similar suit against Star in 2001. She asked for $50 million after the publication of a story that claimed she had a serious drinking problem that was affecting her performances. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman have all successfully sued tabloids as well.
The topic of libel in newspapers is a complicated one — complicated enough that most major tabloids keep lawyers on retainer to read through each article before it is published. Although some of the stories may seem libelous, tabloid writers and lawyers usually know just how far they can go before they cross the line into libelous territory.”

Oh, well. She can afford it.
I was rooting for her. I hope this story is not true.
I guess this is Bobby Brown’s fault too.
There was an uncomfortable enthusiasm in your voice and mannerisms during the Oprah episode when she began demonstrating to Oprah how to correctly use marijuana laced with cocaine. It was a brief but disconcerting moment. And it is a basic rule that when you complete a stint in rehab, you are strongly advised not to use any drugs or alcohol. She revealed to Oprah that she was still drinking.
I believe there is some truth to this story. National Equirer has broken several big stories, including the unforgettable pics of Whitneys bathroom (crack den). Turns out that photo was taken by one of Bobby’s family members. NE was also first to report Isaiah Washington fired from Grey’s Anatomy. Anyway, the terrible reviews she received on her world tour, I am not surprised she’s hitting the pipe again.
