She has collaborated with some big names but she recently topped Billboard charts with her first solo single “Your Love.” She is the first female rapper to win the number 1 spot without a feature since Missy Elliot’s “Work It” in 2002.
“I was not planning on putting the song out at all,” Minaj told MTV. “But then I heard it one day, somebody told me it was online. And I was like, ‘No way, no way in the world that song is out.’ I went and listened to it and was really upset. It wasn’t mixed, it wasn’t finished, it wasn’t anything — I wasn’t gonna use it at all. But then radio started playing it.”
Minaj fans can expect some fat beats on her album produced by Swizz Beatz and the video for “Your Love” will premiere in a few weeks.
