*Federal prosecutors in Florida have asked a judge to revoke the appeal bond of Wesley Snipes and have him start serving his sentence for tax evasion right now.

The motion, filed Wednesday in federal court in Ocala, requests that the actor surrender and begin serving a three-year sentence for willfully failing to file federal income tax returns.

Although an appeals court decided Snipes had received a fair trial and sentence, the 47-year-old film star was granted an appellate bond – which allowed him to remain free after U.S. District Judge William Terrell Hodges imposed a 36-month sentence for the tax-related misdemeanor convictions.

Snipes’ attorney Daniel Meachum has yet to comment, according to the Associated Press.
