*Tate Music Group announces the release of Richard Adams’ debut album “His Name is Jesus.” This artist/songwriter turned record company executive is showing off his skills and experience in R&B and a sincere passion for Christ.

Adams began his music career in St. Louis, Mo. His eighth grade choir director, who gave him private vocal lessons and soloist duties on many occasions for the choir, recognized his singing talent.

At an early age, the gifted singer was performing at nightclubs and concert halls throughout the St. Louis area. Adams eventually formed a group called “The Cashmeres” in his hometown. The group was signed by Emerge Records, and later became known as “Mal Adams & The Cashmeres.” Their popularity led them to be featured at the opening of the St. Louis Cardinals’ home games.

In the 1970s, Adams moved to Los Angeles where he met The Gap Band member, Malvin “Dino” Vice. Their friendship and musical relationship has since spanned over three decades. Adams has worked with the likes of Lawrence Hilton Jacobs, Barry White, Ike & Tina Turner, Sharpie’s Bob Kuban, and many others

The production includes ten tracks and is currently available nationwide on iTunes, CDBaby.com, or directly from TateMusicGroup.com.
