*D.L. Hughley’s New York radio show has officially ended, seven months after filing suit against network brass over a pay dispute.
The comedian launched his weekday morning show on New York’s WRKS, 98.7 KISS-FM on July 20 of last year. In January, he partnered with executives at WRKS’ parent company, Emmis Broadcasting, and sued the syndication company URBan Radio, the owners of the D.L. Hughley Morning Show. Hughley claims URBan Radio owes him an estimated $359,000.
URBan Radio Communications fired back with a countersuit against Emmis as talks broke down about who was responsible for paying the actor.
The star continued his show despite the pending litigation – but he has now decided to step down from the job. Hughley handed in his two-week notice at the end of last month, reports BVBuzz.com.

I for one am glad that he’s gone.He was terrible at what he was doing.I’ve been listening to KISS ever since they returned
with the 12 days of KISSMAS 12 yrs ago with Barry White.I always had my radio turned down low at work until 10:00am when Shayla came on.Now she’s doing it full time and I’m loving it.She’s diggin way down in the barrel and playing some really true classics.I like DL as a comedian and I’ve been to several of his shows,but that’s it.Even on his TV show I tuned in for the white couple because they were the funny ones.So I’m happy just the way things are right now and Shayla knows her music and she’s just so energetic and happy on the station.Good move KISS!
Thank God that crew is gone. had a hard time with that show. Bring back the true wake up crew Jeff Fox, Talent,Shayla and Bob slade. Jeff and Talent made my day. They are missed.
Thank GOD he’s gone….He was not funny. I’m surprised he lasted this long. He didn’t get the hint as to why he wasn’t being paid…hint hint.
