*Every year, Forbes magazine publishes its Hip-Hop Cash Kings list. This year, again, rapper mogul Jay-Z hit the top spot with Sean “Diddy” Combs, Alieuane “Akon” Thiam, Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter, Andre “Dr. Dre” Young and several others to follow.
Jay came in with an estimated net of $63 million earned this year alone. The success of his most recent album helped put him over the top, along with his business investments.
Diddy was number two in the whole bit, with $30 million earned from several means including his investment in Ciroc vodka and his more than successful clothing line. Akon was third with $21 million and Lil Wayne at fourth with $20 million followed by Dre at $17 million. Others on the top 10 include Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, and Kanye West. Drake and Eminem are on the top 20.
