*Barely a week after her engagement, Tamera Mowry is already dishing about her scheduled May 2011 wedding, which is currently in the planning mode.
“I’m so excited,” she tells E! News of her engagement to Adam Housley, a Fox News correspondent. “It is going to be a big wedding, probably 400 people with seven bridesmaids and groomsmen.”
Twin sister Tia Mowry is her maid of honor, her brother Taj is a groomsman, the dress is by Vera Wang and the wedding location has already been secured.
“Adam’s family owns a winery in Napa, Calif., but the wedding will take place at a nearby estate,” the former star of “Sister, Sister” says. “We want this wedding to respect us. I was courted in Napa and fell in love with the city. Wine has become a big part of our life together.”
Housley adds, “Our families get along great and her brother is one of my closest friends. We’re very excited. Tamera is my best friend and I love her.”

I have some mixed feelings here because in an ealier post it stated that the couple had dated before and I think was engaged before and broke it off due to the problems they had. Maybe, they ahve resolved their problems, I hope so he looks a bit shady but, as long as they are happy and respect each other that is aa that really matters.

I have no idea about the details of this couple, but it was only reported that she got engaged last week, she seems to have a lot of plans solidified within just one week! lol (Her dress is already picked out? wow)
Anywho, re the race issue, I think it’s a non-issue. Someone wrote up top she’s mixed, so that colors things a bit. Also, yes the standard is different for Black women than it is for men, just on sheer stats/ ratio. Add to that some of Black men’s proclivity to be um late bloomers, at least much more so in comparison to White men who seen to not have to wait for the girl to get knocked up before he wifes her. (Yes I’m stereotyping a bit.) Anyway, this guy she’s marrying is apparently rich–winery owner!) and at the end of the day, that’s really all that matters. lol (Kidding!–kinda)

It is not unusual for a woman to kind of have her wedding planned in her mind well before there’s a groom. It’s like dress, venue, colors, cake, wedding party, insert groom. LOL
I know I have mine planned – a cookout with me getting married to whoever in the middle and then back to the ribs/potato salad/mac-n-cheese/greens/cornbread…DJ playing, moonbounce for the younguns, etc. I figure mine will cost about $2000 or so. And I don’t need presents cuz I have house stuff already.
