Patti Austin sang lead on a couple of Quincy Jones albums, dueted with MJ on the “Off The Wall” album, sang with George Benson and James Ingram and hat hits on her own. AND was all over tv and radio in the 70′s singing jingles; she said at one time she had 75 different spots running.

My office turns the thermostat up and turns off a bunch of lights everyday from 1pm – 7pm. It gets hot as shiggety in here!! They say they’re doing it to help KCMO cut down on the power.
Our buildings have people in them 24/7 so I think they need to turn the thermostat up overnight when it actually cools off. Hell, the sun shines BRIGHT & HOT during the day and we sit in here hot as hell.

I hate that I complain so much in the summer but I really can’t stop myself. I’m miserable because of the heat. It makes me super irritable and it drains my energy and patience.
I honestly just don’t know how the slaves stayed slaves for so long. I can barely stand to walk to my car… I honestly can’t imagine picking cotton from sun up to sun down or waiting on “massa” hand and foot in the big house. I’m sitting here trying to really imagine it and all I see is me saying “fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck you”.
I would have been one of the first slaves killed… I’m almost sure of that.

Yeah, well I fixed him… gave him some nyquil & alka seltzer and he was out cold all night. I moved over to the cooler side of the bed and I got a few hours of sleep too.
We all know I could never give up spooge for an entire summer but as long as the temp is over 100, I have no interest in it. I have no interest in ANYTHING when it’s 100 degrees.
When I leave work today, I’m going to the grocery store to hang out in the freezer department. I’m not buying any food to cook but I am gonna buy ice cream, cookies, juice, yogurt, and whatever else I can find in that corner of the store to keep me cool.
Girl, Ben & Jerry’s was on sale 3 for $5 last week, so guess what my freezer is full of…LOL

Last August was SOOOOOOO much better. It was so cool, like in the 70s several times. We barely broke a sweat last August! But this year, satan has made it his business to bring his living quarters all up & through St. Louis. 
12 – well he must have one foot planted in STL and other in KC because I can feel the heat rays & steam emanating from his balls.
Winter and snow don’t bother me; winter is actually my favorite season. The only thing I dislike is driving on ice but KC usually does a pretty good job of keeping the major thoroughfares clean & accessible.
My philosophy: In winter, you can always put on more clothes/blankets but in summer, you can only take off so much.
I’ve been basically bukk nekkid for the past week or so and I’m STILL hot.
I refuse to check the mail because I’ll need a shower just from walking outside for 2 minutes. My friend sent pictures of my godson and I refuse to get the mail so I’m worried they’ve melted and he’ll just be a little brown blob.

Lil man twin is well. Thanks for asking. Championships were last week. He did really well in every event. Places 2nd or 3rd or 4th. I’m really proud of that kid.He was a little bummed about not getting first place but he shaved several seconds off his personal best. He’s aged up so the competition is greater. He’s stil my champion! Always will be.
WE are NOT ready for school. I can’t believe how quickly this summer has flown. I need some vacay time and some bending over. That is all.

Bending over is VERY good (when you have the energy for it). Ya’ll don’t understand… I’m naturally a ‘hot’ person — even in winter when everyone else is cold, I’m always warm. Summer just makes me feel like I’m dying. I’ve been like this as far back as I can remember.

He’s dead but they bring him back as a ghost (only he looks like ‘normal’ John). Jack is the only one who sees him and they have some good father/son talks. He was let go from the show because of budget constraints but everybody hated how they killed him off so they have him on reccurring status. He makes a few appearances every year to talk to Jack.

BREAKING NEWS: Fantasia has been hospitalized for a possible overdose. Read on for the deets…
THIS JUST IN – Fantasia Barrino was hospitalized Monday night at Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville at about 8:55 p.m for a medication overdose.
Sources close to the situation say the condition is not life-threatening and it’s not known what type of medication was taken. Also, no one knows whether the overdose was accidental or intentional…or if they do…they aren’t saying.
The timing seems a little suspicious since news of Fantasia’s sex tape with a married man just broke days ago. And the statement released by her manager yesterday did very little to clear her name.
Maybe she was self-medicating and took it too far?!
