*So where is D.L. Hughley? That’s what folks are asking because all of a sudden he just disappeared from the New York airwaves in morning at KISS-FM.
Well here’s what we know. According to Dana Hall here at Radio-Info, on Monday the funnyman announced, with no warning, that it was his last day – “without additional explanation.”
The station says that he’s taking off to do a movie, but the morning crew’s page is gone from the website.
Well, the station may be on to something because we came across this item at movieweb.com regarding Hughley:
The original king of comedy D.L. Hughley will also guest star in Hawaii Five-0′s third episode as a character named Skeet. Skeet is described to me as an inmate serving a double life sentence who challenges McGarrett to a game of hoops.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, late last year, there was controversy about the business arrangements surrounding Hughley’s appearance on the urban AC, and about who was paying him: station owner Emmis, or his potential syndicator, URBan Radio.
So maybe the money got funny, but the comedian/morning show host isn’t laughing, if you know what we mean. We shall see.

EUR — KIIS is West Coast. WRKS (KISS) is the East Coast station. I know you all know this so, go get that second cup of whatever it is you drink in the morning and wake your happy selves up. No more starting the weekend on Thursday for you!
does the term “burning bridges” come to mind? “coming back to haunt you? mean anything?….dl, I hope you gave the station few more minutes than you gave your fans.
You don’t play with Black folks money. We gotta work to damn hard to get the little bit that we do. I’m going through changes at my own job about that and am less than two seconds from walking my damn self. Money talks and you know the rest!
thank goodness and thank you je-sus! d.l. is ONE hot mess!
