*Do you know you can grieve God? You can grieve the Holy Ghost. You can make God feel sad about what is happening with you. How do I grieve God? You grieve Him by not obeying the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Ghost, through the peace of God, will lead and guide you. He will even speak to you at times when there is danger.
The Holy Spirit will even let you know, and show you when you pray, and ask God about the issues regarding the person you are dating. He will show you the truth about that person, the good and the bad.
The Scripture said, “Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God”. In other words, obey the Holy Ghost. If you obey the Holy Ghost, you will never get in trouble. Beyond that, you will find the right person for you. You are not going to find a perfect person, because you are not perfect. But you will find the right person for you if you obey the Holy Ghost. You do not need a list of 101 things this person must be. Tailor your list down to about 5 or 6 things.
When God created the planet He said it was good. God created the stars, the moon, the land and sea and said it was good. Then God created the man and said it was not good. He said in Genesis 2:18 that it was not good that the man should be alone. It was God who said that a man needs a wife, single man. You need a wife at the appropriate time that you can properly care for her. When you have done all that you are supposed to do, then it is not good for you to be by yourself. You were not intended to be by yourself. You need help. You need loving. You need care. You need somebody who will look after you. You need a wife.
The Holy Spirit wants to lead you to a life of joy and fulfillment. He is there to lead you to the right person for you. He only has your good in mind. Do not grieve Him. Follow His leading and you will have peace in your life.
