*50 Cent and Kanye West may be taking a less combative approach in promoting their respective albums than their last go-round in 2007.

Instead of a promotional “beef” to fuel record sales, the rappers may instead launch a joint tour overseas, according to DJ Whoo Kid, who is associated with 50 Cent’s “G-Unit.”

“[50 and Kanye] have been talking about working together since a couple months ago-we all roll out together in a Euro tour,” DJ Whoo Kid told VIBE. “It’s the media that be hyping up all the beef and stupidity. But the real story is behind the scenes on how these dudes be talking. Because I been heard about this sh**.”

Three years ago, 50 Cent gave Kanye an ultimatum regarding their albums releases on Sept. 11, 2007: “If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I’ll no longer [perform] music. I’ll write music and work with my other artists, but I won’t put out any more solo albums,” he stated.

Kanye won the battle. In first day sales alone, Soundscan numbers for Kanye’s “Graduation” were 437,000 vs. Fiddy’s 310,000 for “Curtis.”
