*A lawyer for the three men suing Bishop Eddie Long released cell phone photos of the megachurch pastor that he allegedly sent out to several men in his congregation.
Atlanta attorney B.J. Bernstein showed reporters the pictures Wednesday, claiming they were sent to young men who attended Longfellows Youth Academy. She did not clarify whether her three clients also received the pictures.
One of the photos [seen above] allegedly shows the pastor in a bathroom sporting an athletic tank and shorts with a Kangol. Another photo [seen below] shows him in a shirt and denim jeans while standing just outside of a shower.
The first two plaintiffs, Maurice Robinson and Anthony Flagg, claimed that Long used his position as a spiritual counselor and leader to take the young men on trips out of state and performed sexual acts with them.
In the latest lawsuit, the plaintiff, Jamal Parris, detailed how Long allegedly gave him his personal cell phone number two weeks after they first met.
Parris said he joined New Birth in 2001. He said he later became Long’s personal assistant, and that Long would ask him to remain in his private office after church, where Long engaged in sexual misconduct with Parris, according to the suit. Parris said he eventually left the church and later found out from other young male church members that they too had sexual contact with the bishop, according to the suit.
Since the first two lawsuits went public Tuesday, Bernstein said her office has taken several calls and believes that there are other victims. Bernstein said she opened her investigation after getting a call from one of the men.
The lawsuits also name New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia as a defendant.

I agree that the boys are playing victims here. Long made offers. They were of age. They apparently were materialistic enough to want the money, cars, celebrity access he was offering so that was their downfall.
I don’t understand why Long is getting sued. For coercion? LOL. They were not minors and where I’m from if you get punked you just get punked and learn your lesson. Don’t cry about it now after you willing bent over for favors.
Long should resign from his church, however. He’s not fit to lead a flock.

I agree– Long was the adult in the situation. Sometimes it is easy for us to assume that the brain and reasoning of a 30 year old is equal to that of a 15-year old. Long very likely nurtured a relationship (albeit twisted) with these guys at a very young age and they felt that he truly liked them, only to find out there were other men or that he really didn’t care about their well being. To add insult to injury, they’re probably confused about their sexuality because their first experience was with some 50-year old dude.
I’m not sayin’ that these dudes are lyin’ or anything but…why do these type of allegations always take so long to come to the surface?

because my gaydar has been running all over the place since this story broke and I had an opportunity to look at Long in his church and gay-on-the-stroll attire.
As I said yesterday, I have been hearing these rumors about Long and young boys for a few YEARS now. I guess I always assumed he was the recipient of the bj, not the giver.
As to the “why did it take so long” for this to come out, please remember that sometimes people do not confront their abuser until later in life, sometimes as late as their 30′s 40′s and sometimes 50′s. So the fact these 20-something year olds are talking should not be surprising.

I’m NOT an expert on sexuality but just seeing these pictures don’t necessary spell I like boys. I’m not in the Atlanta area and have NOT heard anything about his sexual preferences. But these 2 pictures just don’t spell out I’m bi-sexual and want to screw you. It could be that he’s showing progress on his weightlifting, It could be an inside joke or story. He’s fully dressed not laying in the bed or IN the tub. These are not naked pictures. How can this be inappropriate?? You all can’t expect him to wear his robe or suit all the time.

Bed_StuyGrl, I’m from Bed-Stuy, too! However, now I DO live outside Atlanta. eddie’s hard core congregation will follow him right off a mountain if he asks them to, for they indeed are like sheep. I’ve heard Black folks discussing this here and the men are laughing, while the women are angry and don’t believe the young men. BTW, a friend girl of mine from upstate New York, who now lives here, does not believe a word and has made all kinds of excuses for eddie, some downright ridiculous! However, since this friend girl attends creflo’s “church” I’m sure she’s in deep denial. When it comes to greed and flim flamming the colored folks here, eddie and creflo are cut from the same cloth.

I am not sure if this anything more than a “look at my improvement” pic. I am a bodybuilder myself and I have images like that on my phone, and I do know Bishop Long always talks about working out. Now I am not saying this isn’t true, but I am saying that this isn’t enough evidence. Why because he is covered up and he isn’t groping or shirtless, no tongue out, nothing, plus even a 5 yr old can hack a phone these days. If he was as involved as they say these pics don’t say quite enough, is he innocent? I don’t know and when it comes to clergy I don’t give the benefit of the doubt as much because I have seen far too much.
the point you are leaving out is the fact that these pictures were sent to one or more students in the LongFellow Academy. IT is not appropriate for a BISHOP to send these pictures to a teenage student. The other thing is that the lawyer very likely sent these out as a teaser to Eddie, letting him know that if she has these , which are G-rated, then she has the X-rated ones too.
Well versatile I am not disagreeing with you however I believe what I see and as it stands i don’t see anything rauchy, I don’t think it’s wise to speculate because the pics you do see aren’t raunchy enough that there are more so in your opinion he has to be guilty bcuz the others haven’t been exposed yet. Okay since when has YT been reserved in taking down a guilty black man? Anyway like I said I am not saying he did or didn’t I am just saying the proof is weak at this point, and of course it may be innapropriate to show these pics to teens, but how do we know his phone wasn’t hacked? It’s not a crime to have photos of yourself on your phone, he could have used them to send to his wife on the road kept them on the phone and it got hacked. What I am presenting to you is the argument that can be used against these photos and these claims, it’s rather weak so far. But again I give no clergy the benefit of the doubt cuz they def do dirt but I aint seen the proof yet.

The pics don’t scream “inappropriate” to me. I was thinkin’ that since Bishop Long’s iphone and ipad were stolen this summer by one of the people suing him, these could have easily been taken from there (among other pics). But he most definitely should be more wise about what he takes pictures of. And these pics do make me nervous about what other pics are out there.
I hear a FOURTH man has filed a lawsuit.
It’ll really be interesting to see how this thing plays out, and how Georgia’s legal age of consent (16) plays into things.
