Steve Harvey takes the stage as host of the 8th Annual Ford Hoodie Awards

Saturday evening, more than 10,000 people came together at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas in support of multimedia entertainer Steve Harvey and his 8th annual Ford Hoodie Awards. Created by Harvey to celebrate the best of the country’s everyday people and neighborhoods, the star-studded night featured celebrities like Sherri Shepherd, LisaRaye and more presenting awards to local neighborhood stores, restaurants, churches and prominent figures from Illinois to Florida.

Established in 2001, the Ford Hoodie Awards was created by Steve Harvey to recognize the efforts and strides that local neighborhoods are making in the cities and towns in which they live. Harvey aimed at showing appreciation for the hard work of the “common” man and woman, although celebrities, politicians, and corporate executives are the ones typically lauded for their accomplishments.

“From first-time winners to a lot of repeat winners, it’s great to see how loved and inspiring the nominees are in their communities. I’m so grateful to all the presenters, performers, and sponsors that came together with me to make this weekend an unforgettable blowout,” says Harvey. Below the rest of the photos is the list of winners from the Hoodie Awards.
