Just like the headline says, this page/board is where you can discuss the stuff that we didn’t cover in today’s issue. (It’s sort of like feedback with a twist) Remember, NO name calling, racial taunting, graphic sex talk and vulgarity in general, PLEASE.

Today’s CHOCOLATE JAM is “I’d Rather Be By Myself” by David Ebo
Morning fam!
Lovely…what do you know/think about the Shawnee Mission school district? On paper I LOVE IT!!!!
PSA: A cherry coke big gulp from 7-11 might not be the best thing right before bedtime.
Good morning family. What it do?
Wassup YLY? I’m tired as hell. I was up all night wired off cherry coke!
Letmein – I haven’t checked in to it much but that’s the school district where I live now. My friend’s sister moved so that she could be in the SM school district.
I’ll tell you this, I live right by one of the high schools and it’s jumpin day & night. Seems like they always have activities and events and the kids all look normal and well adjusted when they’re walking home. I’m assuming the teachers and quality of education is good because of the income levels of the cities that contribute to Shawnee Mission.
My one friend who has kids said that if she ever moved from Missouri (she lives out past Independence Mall), she would move to Overland Park/Shawnee Mission so her kids could go to good public schools.
I’d give my left pinkie toe for a cherry coke right now.
I went to bed early but I woke up extra tired. I think I was dreaming about running from some weird animal…
Hey now!
Good Morning Everyone!
Hi Jacque, I watched The Event again last night and I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to last with this show. I really don’t like aliens (or shows about aliens). The whole sci-fi angle just turns me all the way off.
Heatwave’s Unsung was good.
Heatwave definitely was not half-steppin’!! They didn’t mention it in the show, but I would think Johnnie Wilder would have gotten paid big time after his accident if it was indeed caused by a missing stop sign as was stated.
JazzFan–I didn’t gather that the stop sign was missing. I understood it to be that the driver at fault ran the stop sign and the wreckage caused the sign the sign to be flattened. I could b wrong. *shrug*
I gave it another shot too Lovely and I must say I was not as enthralled with last night’s episode as I was with last week’s; however, since I don’t have any other show on my agenda right now, I may watch it again next week.
JB…I was watching Unsung, MNF and House Hunters all at the same time.
Letmein I am thankful for dvr.
Lovely…I got a packet in the mail from them yesterday. Their district testing scores are top notch! I’m very impressed with that and the wide array of classes/courses they offer. My son has his whole freshman schedule picked out. LOL!! I’ve been doing some online researching this morning and I guess I’m concerned about how ‘cliquish’ it might be. A couple come off as ‘pure bred’ ‘money long’ schools and I have no interest in that. I want my son in a good school BUT I do want him seeing some kids that look like him…know what I mean? From what I’m seeing a few of the schools aren’t very diverse and the ones that are seem to have a bad rap. Right now the one that stands out as a possibility for me is Shawnee Mission South. I think it might be the smaller of the 5.
So are you going to move to Johnson County?
To be honest, I think any of the schools in JO will be cliquish and I think the further south you go, the more cliquish they’ll be.
My friend “Pam” (the one I was at that concert with) had her niece living with her for a while and she went to one of those schools (I forget which is which) and she said they were cliquish but it was still cool. The black kids hung together, the white ones had multiple cliques, and so on. She actually thought all the kids were lame (considering she came from Wyandotte County and was used to being around black folks all day/night). She felt like she was the superstar of the school, teaching them how to be ‘black’.
Jacque – yeah… it wasn’t as exciting as it was last week.
They say they have the whole show already planned for 5 seasons. I’ll be surprised if it lasts 2 seasons.
*Agent Lee is hott though!!
Letmein check your email
Lovely….I’m looking in Prairie Village. Hubby doesn’t want to go as far as Overland Park.
Ohhh, I only go to Prairie Village to go to Salty Iguana. Cops stop black folks in PV.
Holy Mary I’m HUNGRY!
I would kill for a philly cheesesteak, some hot salty fries and an ice cold cherry coke (and then some cheesecake for dessert).
JB….I have DVR and NEVER use it.
I need Rhianna to get rid of that Ronald McDonald hair post haste…
Good Day Happy People!!

Letmein – I hate that Charli Baltimore hair on her!
The brother did indicate that the stop sign was down. He said it in a “matter of fact” way almost like an afterthought.
Just bought my ticket to see Nephew Tommy. He better be funny.
Soror J then maybe that’s why it breezed past me. IDK. Either way, he lived a very fulfilling life doing what he lived. I admire Jonny’s passion for life and making good music. I applaud him.
Good morning all. Hope everyone is well. I am fine. Just cold. I hate that its getting ready to get cold.
I did not catch all of Heatwave. I forgot about it, but I caught the tail end. The Wilders were from my home town, and were very well known in the community.
I have to say of the Unsungs I have seen, the network has done a super job on relaying the stories. All of them.
Finally, we’re back up!
