*“I had VHS’s of all Disney movies,” aid Raven-Symone’ who plays the voice of Iridessa the first African-American Disney fairy – friend of Tinker Bell.
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released a Blu-ray Combo DVD Pack of their new film project “Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue.” The Disney project stars the voice talents of Mae Whitman as Tinker Bell; Raven-Symone’ as Iridessa the light Fairy; Lauren Mote as 9 year-old Lizzy – who believes in Fairies; Michael Sheen as Dr. Griffiths – Lizzy’s father, and Pamela Adlon – the fast flying Fairy.
The beautifully animated film follows Tinker Bell, way before she met Wendy and the Lost Boys of Peter Pan, during her vacation where she gets lost and while forming a relationship with little 9 year-old Lizzy – who believes deeply in Fairies – her Fairy friends launch a major rescue. The theme is that of the power of faith and friendship.
“How she (Tinker Bell) looks at the world,” pointed out Raven-Symone’ about lessons we can learn from the film. “She can teach us to be opened minded. I wonder if instead of closing your mind to it…”
Being open minded is the message of this wonderful Rated G film that the entire family will enjoy – over and over again. Raven-Symone’ concluded that we all need to “take something from the DVD and put into real life.”
“Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue” was directed by Bradley Raymond (Lions King 1 ½) and produced by Helen Kalafic and DisneyToon Studios. Executively producer is John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios.

Father and son release a Gospel worship experience on Tyscot Records
Bishop Scott and son Bryant Scott release a two-disk CD project titled “Bishop Leonard Scott presents…My Worship Experience” on Tyscot Records – which is celebrating 30 years. Bryant Scott serves as the major producer on the project.
“The vision, God gave me,” Bryant pointed out about the project. “Traditional music and the Word are separated. Music leads up to the Word. God gave me the strategy to marry the music with the Word.”
Bishop Scott quickly added, “Bryant wrote 90% of the songs.”
Joining Bryant and Bishop Scott on the album are featured artists Lil’ Mo and her husband Phillip Bryant, Gospel singer Lucinda Moore; Pastor Thomas Hill, Darrell Harris, Deitrick Haddon, Damita Haddon, Johnathan Dunn, LaMar Campbell, Ivan Powell, Rodnie Bryant, the Indiana Celebration Mass Choir; Ernest and Ericka Jackson, Dr, Chris Holland, Pastor Ronnie ‘Diamond’ Hoard, and Joann Rosario Conrey.
Though a great Praise and Worship CD from beginning to end, my favorites include “You Alone Are God” featuring Deitrick Haddon, a sweet vocal master-piece; “Hosanna” a non-traditional sound and vibe, and “I Need You” featuring Lil’ Mo, her husband Phillip Bryant, Damita Haddon, Ivan Powell, Lamar Campbell, Rodnie Bryant and The Indiana Celebration Mass Choir, because it feels like it could be a movie score with its’ outstanding emotional evoking guest vocalists.
