*President Barack Obama has enlisted the help of Common for an upcoming political rally in their home city of Chicago, Illinois.

The event will take place on Saturday Oct. 30 ahead of the upcoming midterm elections and the rapper-actor will take to the stage to help drum up support for the Democrats.

The rally in the city’s Hyde Park and Midway Plaisance Park will be free to the public, according to Allhiphop.com.

Earlier this month, President Obama tapped The Roots and DJ Diamond Kuts to appear on stage during a Pennsylvania campaign rally for Democratic Senate hopeful Joe Sestak.

Just this week, it was reported that Jay-Z would be involved in President Obama’s 2012 bid for re-election.
