*ESPN is reporting that a trade has been completed sending star receiver Randy Moss back to the Minnesota Vikings from the New England Patriots.

The AP is also citing “a person with knowledge of the deal who spoke on condition of anonymity because the transaction has not been officially announced,” who says the deal is done – with the Patriots getting a third-round draft pick in return.

Moss spent the first seven seasons of his career in Minnesota.

The seven-time Pro Bowler was a first-round draft pick of the Vikings in 1998. He was traded to Oakland in 2005 and languished for two years before being revitalized in New England.

The trade follows months of Moss voicing his displeasure with the organization. After the first game of the season, he publicly stated feeling as if he wasn’t in the Patriots’ long term goals. [Watch below.]
