*Michael Jackson’s name is back on display at his alma mater – seven years after it was removed from the auditorium due to the child molestation charges against him.

The auditorium at Gardner Street Elementary School in Los Angeles was named after the King of Pop in 1989, but his name was covered up during the trial and was kept hidden despite Jackson’s acquittal.

A group of Michael Jackson fans had petitioned to get the sign uncovered, and it was finally unveiled on Friday (Oct. 15), according to TMZ.

A member of the Los Angeles Board of Education said, “It’s important for the district to value the artistic impact and humanitarian contribution that will be the lasting legacy of Michael Jackson.”
