*CNN correspondent Soledad O’Brien has to undergo knee surgery after she was thrown from a horse Sunday in New York.
According to BV Buzz, the 44-year-old newswoman was anchor was horseback riding in Brewster, N.Y., with her daughters, Sofia and Cecilia, when her horse “got spooked by another horse and ditched me.”
“I tore absolutely everything in my knee,” she told the website. “I am on crutches now and doing physical therapy. I’ll have surgery in two weeks when the swelling goes down.”
O’Brien has a new documentary called “Almighty Debt” that premieres on Oct. 21 [watch trailer below], and her book, ‘The Next Big Story: My Journey Through the Land of Possibilities,’ comes out on Nov. 2.
